An 18-month-old baby was killed and two people were injured when a car collided with a truck in the city of Nablus on Sunday, the Israeli police said.
The accident happened on a main street in Nablous in the northern part of the country’s largest city, a police spokeswoman said.
A car was traveling in the direction of the western suburb of Kafr Qasim, when a truck with three occupants was driving along the road.
Two people in the truck were injured, and two of them were in critical conditions, the spokeswoman said, adding that the baby was taken to the hospital.
The truck was carrying tires for the city’s commercial tire market.
The driver of the truck, a man in his 20s, was taken into custody.
The injured people were taken to a hospital in Beit Lahia.
An investigation was underway.
The death toll in Nabulus is at four, police said, with the number of injured at three.
